Review: Too Faced On the Prowl Set

Too Faced On The Prowl Set

This set is one that i had eyed on the shelves of Sephora for months. Then when i finally decided to take the plunge and purchase it, i was so glad i did. The set is made up of a face primer, brush, and palette. The palette contains a blush, bronzer, and brightener. All by Too Faced. The kit can be purchased here.

Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit

When i first opened the complexion kit, it was a lot smaller than i expected. I really wanted them to be full sized. The powders are holding up and lasting pretty well though. I also love the packaging, very chic. All these shimmery powders are highly pigmented and blendable. The kit is broken up into three Too Faced leopard products...

Peach Leopard: This is the bronzer in the palette. It is very soft and  smooth. I love the way it applies. Most soft bronzers are hard to get out with a softer brush. With this, that isn't a problem. I tried it with my e.l.f bronzing brush (coarse) and the Flatbuki the set comes with (soft). Both apply the product well. There is shimmer in the lighter brown shade, but it is very fine and barly noticeable when applied. The peach tone in this bronzer is what sets it apart from others. Bronzers with all one dark brown color can be overpowering for fair skinned people. Because i am fair skinned myself, this works perfectly for me. Too Faced claims that this bronzer is corrective. I don't really see that. It is able to warm up the whole face very well but as far as hiding imperfection, not so much.

Candy Leopard:This blush is made up of three colors as well: rose, light pink, and a shimmery champagne-white.This blush is not as soft as the peach leopard so it's harder to actually get out of the pan. Candy Leopard is not sold separately so this product makes the whole palette original.

Pink Leopard: This can be used as a highlight or an all over face brightener. This is the most versatile powder in the palette. It can be used as a highlight, blush and bronzer. My favorite way to use it is to highlight.

Lip Of Luxury Lipstick in Cougar

This is where i believe the set really lacks. The name matches the set because it keeps with the "kitty theme". The color is just not flattering to me. It's mocha brown with very fine purple shimmer throughout. The lipstick itself is also a bit dry. To make this set perfect the brand could have had options on the color or picked a more flattering shade.

Flatbuki

This brush is very soft. It's domed bristles make it an exeptional bronzing brush (which is what i use it for). It's also good for an all over buffing brush, or to apply powder after foundation.

Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer

This first thing that makes this primer different is the fact that it has a tint. Nothing to the power of a tinted moisturizer though. This primer reminds me of the L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base. It has the same silky smoothness and scent.

For those of you who are not familiar with that primer, it makes the skin very smooth. I like to wear it by itself on days where i'm not wearing a lot of makeup because it makes my skin look very even and soft.

There's the whole set. I am officially in love with the Too Faced Leopard products now, and i will be repurchasing peach leopard, pink leopard, and the primer.

Overall Rating 4/5

Tell me, have you tried this set? What are your thoughts on it?

Thank so much for stopping by!
